Surfing the Heat Dome

I have been creating a series of #mandala images from photographs I have taken. They are hard to fully appreciate on social media. There is so much in the detail, and seeing these images from afar and then close up provides an interesting dynamic. If you can, try to zoom in for the details.

This image started with a surfer entering the Atlantic Ocean on Fire Island, NY during a November, 2021 heat wave where air and water temps resembled historical September levels.
